Had a room on the 16th floor (Strip view) and it was almost as good as ones at The Bellagio and The Wynn. Check-in at The Rush Tower went quick even with only one person working the desk. Stayed at The GN April 2-5 (Final Four Tournament). Also learned that the hotel & casino workers never take the bus they all drive. Met some workers from The Bellagio at The Hideout and I suppose that’s the unofficial rule: if you’re a hotel worker in Vegas you go to other hotels to party. Unlike most Vegas pools, it stays open until 2am after the kiddies are in bed (who brings their kids to Vegas anyway?) and the waterslide is a nice touch. Do yourself a favor and get a chair, daybed or cabana up in The Hideout adult pool area. Lots of people there the first week in April and the pool was mobbed. As for meals, Sunday champagne breakfast at the Golden Nugget Buffet and dinner at The Grotto are not to be missed. Fremont is a zoo at night so the best time to walk around and drift from casino to casino is 6am when the sun is just coming up and the streets are deserted except for a few locals.
The hotel is small enough not to get lost in and Fremont Street is right outside your front door.
